Pliers; prizing-tools.-A tool A for stretching hoop iron round boxes and other packages is provided at the end with a gripping-lever C which is pivoted on a stud, bolt, or rivet D, secured to a lug B, and is formed with an eccentric part E which co-operates with a surface F. The parts E, F may be smooth or serrated. In use, the hoop is attached to the box and passed over the part F. The tool is then placed against the edge of the box and, when the gripping-lever has been depressed, is forced downwards to stretch the hoop.
