Abstract

1304197 Roller conveyers ERMANCO Inc and GENERAL LOGISTICS CORP 4 May 1970 [5 May 1969] 21314/70 Heading B8A An inclined roller conveyer has certain of its rollers 10 power driven from a constant speed shaft 16 through tensional endless belts 18 and pulleys 16 frictionally mounted on the shaft 12 and slippable thereon during overload. The powered rollers tend to increase the gravitational conveying speed of light articles 20 whilst tending to decrease that of heavy articles 21. The pulleys 16 which are separated by spacers 17 are mounted on the shaft 13 permitting rotational and axial slipping, the frictional grip between the pulleys and shaft being established by the tension in the belts 18.
