1304160 Floor and carpet cleaning machines A SCHWAMBORN [trading as A SCHWAMBORN ELEKTRO-MASCHINENBAU] 22 Oct 1971 [24 Oct 1970] 49133/71 Heading A4F A floor and carpet cleaning machine has a handle 8, a releasably attached rotary cleaning tool 5 replaceable by others, and means for generating foam for application to the tool 5 comprising a container 9 for foamable cleaning liquid, a conduit 10 for connecting the container 9 to a source of compressed gas, a conduit 11 for compressed gas leading from the container 9 to a wet foam generator 12, where the compressed gas is mixed with cleaning liquid supplied from the container G via an outlet 14 and conduit 15, the wet foam passing from the generator 12 to be discharged through the porous material of an applicator 13 as a dry foam. The porous material is provided in the form of a hollow cylinder 21, Fig. 2 (not shown) of sintered metal.
