Abstract

1302416 Electrophoto-conductive alloys: CANON KK 16 Jan 1970 [22 Jan 1969 23 Aug 1969] 2305/70 Heading C7A [Also in Division H1] An electro-photographic photo-sensitive member comprises a conductive layer of an amorphous alloy containing at least one of S, Se and Te with at least one of Si, Ge, Sn and Pb with optional sensitizing additions of a least one of P, As, Sb and Bi or at least one of the halogens, the layer having a dark volume resistivety of more than 10<SP>12</SP> ohm-cm. The amount of IVb element is preferably no more than 30% by weight. The photo-conductive layer may be sandwiched between an insulating and a support layer. In examples the alloy is vacuum deposited on an Al base plate and the insulating layer is a poly ethylene teraphthalate film bonded thereto by an epoxy resin.
