Abstract

1301883 Removing dust in milling processes WEDAG WESTFALIA DINNENDAHL GROPPEL AG 21 April 1970 [21 April 1969] 18890/70 Heading F4X Milled material and dust-laden air from a milling process are separately discharged from the mill 1 through a device 8. The dust-laden air is then freed from dust in a separator 2, cooled in a heat exchanger 3 and recirculated, e.g. by a blower 4, to the mill. Some of the air is discharged to atmosphere via a filter 5 and blower 6. In a modification (Fig. 2) the milled material passes to a sifter (10) which separates-out any material to be returned to the mill. Dust-laden air from the sifter flows to the separator together with that from the device 8 and some of the cleaned air being returned to the mill (e.g. by the blower 4) is diverted to the sifter.
