Abstract
1301708 Reciprocating pumps and motors ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 April 1971 [11 July 1970] 22544/71 Heading F1A A valve plate for an axial piston machine comprises at least two flat, rigid discs 1, 2 with an intermediate resilient layer 3 surrounding the valve ports 5, 6. The plate is mounted in a housing 7 and a rotary cylinder block 8 bears against it, a locking pin 4 preventing relative rotation of the discs. Layer 3 may be of rubber or P.T.F.E. vulcanized or glued to the discs. In Fig. 2 (not shown), the outer portions of the discs are of reduced thickness to form an enlarged peripheral gap filled by an enlarged peripheral portion of the intermediate layer. In Fig.3 (not shown), the peripheral gap is wedge-shaped and formed by reducing the thickness of only one of the discs. In Fig.4 (not shown), there are four rigid discs. In Fig.5 (not shown), the inter- mediate layer is constituted by segments sur- rounding the ports. In Fig.6 (not shown), the intermediate layer includes sleeve portions within the ports for high-pressure machines.
