1301533 Concentrating formaldehyde solutions BADISCHE ANILIN & SODA-FABRIK AG 5 June 1970 [6 June 1969] 27191/70 Heading C2C Solutions of formaldehyde containing not more than 8% by weight of water are prepared by distilling an aqueous formaldehyde solution at atmospheric or superatmospheric pressure in the presence of an optionally substituted alkanol and/or cycloalkanol which forms an azeotropic mixture with water. Suitable substituents in the alcohol include alkoxy and chlorine.
