Abstract

1301234 Vehicle heaters; spray burners W BAIER W BAIER L SCHOBER E SCHLUMPRECHT [trading as WEBASTOWERK W BAIER KG] 13 July 1971 [3 Oct 1970] 32745/71 Headings F4T and F4W In a vehicle heater comprising a combustion chamber 1, a fuel nozzle 7 and combustion air blower 5 are arranged co-axially within a casing divided into separable parts 8, 10. A fuel pump 6 between the nozzle 7 and blower 5 and a drive motor 4 outside the casing are also coaxial with the nozzle 7 and combustion chamber 1. A hood 14 with a side inlet 16 screen the motor 4, and the two sections of the casing are connected by removable swivel pins 11, 12, The motor 4, blower 5, pump 6 and fuel nozzle are all carried by the casing section 8 to allow easy access by swivelling this casing part about either pin 11 or pin 12. The combustion chamber 1 is surrounded by a heat transfer fluid jacket 3 and an annular flue 2.
