Abstract

1301096 Door frames R BOOMER 3 March 1970 [26 March 1969 24 Oct 1969] 15812/69 and 52162/69 Heading E1J A door frame comprises portions of resilient U-section strip material 10 which are mounted on the edges of a wall 14 around a door opening, the strip comprising a web 12 of width equal to the wall thickness connecting two initially parallel limbs 11 which terminate in inwardly bent flanges 13, and the strip portions being securely mounted on the wall edges by pulling the limbs 11 apart and locating the portions in a deformed state with the limbs 11 diverging and the flanges 13 tightly abutting the wall. The strip material may be of plastics or plastics-coated metal. A U-section metal strap 17 having diverging limbs may first be secured to the wall edges to reinforce the frame which is then clipped over the strap.
