Abstract

1300323 Container closures I TO I PLASTICS Ltd 19 April 1971 [14 April 1970] 17669/70 Heading B8T A closure for an aerosol container 9 has circumferentially spaced hook elements 7 which secure the closure to the container. Integral with one such element is a tear-tab 10, the element 7 and tab 10 being joined at each side to the skirt 6 of the closure by means of weakened portions (11), Fig. 4 (not shown). To initially remove the closure from the container, the teartab 10 is used to tear off the attached element 7, the skirt 6 being undamaged. The cap is then able to be levered off and re-secured as necessary. The closure is of plastics material, and the tear-tab has a reinforcing region (12) around its edges.
