Abstract

1300201 Sheet forming DR ING hcF PORSCHE KG [14 Jan 1971 [29 Jan 1970] l799/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division B1] An air filter housing 1 is formed in one piece from thermoplastic material by a blow-moulding process and subsequently split at a joint 12 to form a two-part housing. The housing is formed with an inlet tube 10, and sections 3 and 4 for connection by means of tension locks to an I.C. engine 2. A filter 18 is secured in the housing by elastic bands 20. The upper part 13 is also secured by elastic bands 14 which engage pins 15. In Fig. 2, not shown, housing parts (26) and (31) are similarly formed and subsequently joined at a sealing flange (32) of a filter (30) by means of tension locks (35), (36).
