Abstract

130,009. Claessen, C. Nov. 7, 1917. Automatic-feed weighers; indicating-mechanism; sliding-weight apparatus.-Relates to apparatus which is adjustable to weigh a definite quantity of material and is fitted with automatic delivery devices. The pan 17 is carried on an arm 5 mounted on a cross-axis 4 which carries an arm 8 fitted with a screw 7 for adjusting a sliding weight 9. The screw is turned by a head 11 and, by means of a pinion 10, turns a disk 12 marked with a scale 12<a>, so that a pointer 6 indicates the weight. A vertical pointer 13 is mounted on the axis. The pan 17 is normally closed by a cone 18 provided with arms 19 which come in contact with the discharge funnel when the beam tills and thus raise the cone. Material is fed to the pan from a reservoir 21 through a spout 22. An adjusting-weight 16 is mounted on the arm 5.
