Abstract

1299342 Welding by fusion; work-holders MASCHINEN - UND APPARATEBAU GRIMMA VEB 5 Jan 1970 444/70 Headings B3B and B3R A workpiece supporting and rotating device for internal and external circumferential seam welding of a cylindrical vessel having a radially outwardly directed circular flange, e.g. a tubed heat exchanger header chamber, comprises two drive rollers 5 mounted on a base-plate 1 and adapted to engage the periphery of said flange, two grooved support rollers 4 slidably adjustable on inclined guider 2 and adapted to engage and accommodate said flange, and a vertically adjustable, horizontally acting, pressure roller 6 adapted to act on said flange to prevent undesirable tilting movement of the vessel.
