Abstract

1,025,288. Work supports; welding by fusion. MUREX POSITIONING EQUIPMENT Ltd. Jan. 27, 1965 [Jan. 6, 1964], No. 592/64. Headings B3B and B3R. Apparatus for rotating pipes for butt-welding etc. comprises a bracket 15 carrying rollers 25 and pivoted to a framework 10, means 33 for urging the bracket to engage the rollers with a pipe 35 and means 11 on the framework for rotating at least one roller. The rollers are mounted in a bracket 20 which is adjustably angularly to positions such as shown in Fig. 7 (not shown). A sprocket shaft 19 carries a chuck 36, Fig. 4 (not shown) which may also be used to rotate a pipe. The framework may be mounted on wheels.
