Abstract
1299292 Discharging catalyst from a reactor AGENCY OF INDUSTRIAL SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY 10 Feb 1970 [14 Feb 1969] 6368/70 Heading B1F Catalyst is discharged from reactor 1 by causing liquid to flow from tube 4 into suction tube 5, thus carrying catalyst particles with it. In the embodiment of Fig. 2, tube 4 can be moved up into tube 5 to stop flow of catalyst. In the embodiment of Fig. 4, the liquid flows from tube 21 into tube 22, the end of tube 21 being inside tube 22, and the catalyst being drawn through slots 21', 22'. Tube 21 can be rotated to stop the flow of catalyst through the slots.
