Abstract
1297383 Catches D L EVANS 3 Feb 1970 53455/71 Divided out of 1297382 Heading E2A [Also in Division B8] In a trolley for lifting and transporting upright gas cylinders comprising a lifting frame 7 which is provided with gripper jaws and which is vertically slidable on a post 5 on a chassis 1, as described in Specification 1297382, a rotary catch device is provided for holding the lifting frame 7 in its raised position. The catch device comprises a catch 27 and an operating member 28 secured to a shaft 29 which is rotatably mounted in a block 22 secured to the frame 7. In operation, when the frame 7 is raised by means of a hand lever 24 to its raised position, the member 28 is engaged by a stop 31 on the post 5 and is rotated to bring the catch 27 into engagement with a shoulder on the post 5, Fig. 4 (not shown). To disengage the catch, the frame 7 is raised slightly, causing the stop 31 to rotate the catch out of engagement with the shoulder whereafter the frame 7 may be lowered. (For Figures see next page)
