Abstract

1296125 Thiodiglycol BADISCHE ANILIN & SODA-FABRIK AG 19 March 1970 [21 March 1969] 13223/70 Heading C2C Thiodiglycol is prepared by reacting ethylene oxide and H 2 S in a molar ratio of about 2 : 1 in the presence of thiodiglycol as a solvent at. elevated temperature and superatmospheric pressure in a single liquid phase under conditions of temperature and pressure such that no gas phase forms in the reaction mixture. A tubular reactor is suitable.
