1319848 Ethanolamines BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 11 Nov 1970 [12 Nov 1969] 53607/70 Heading C2C Mono- and triethanolamine are produced by reacting diethanolamine, ammonia and ethylene oxide in liquid phase at 60-150‹ C. and 20- 120 atmospheres, the molar ratio of diethanolamine to ethylene oxide being not more than 1 : 1, and the molar ratio of ammonia to ethylene oxide being from 14 : 1 to 40 : 1. Diethanolamine product is preferably separated and recycled.
