Abstract
1295612 Bearings GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 8 June 1971 [2 Nov 1970] 19315/71 Heading F2A A bearing assembly comprises two metallic members having a coating which includes a dichalcogenide of Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta, W or Re. At least one of the members has an intermediate layer of an alloy based on Cu and Ni and including a metallic element whose oxide provides internal lubrication of the alloy. The alloy preferably contains 20-40% by wt. Ni, 2-10% In, the balance being Cu. The dichalcogenide is preferably MoS 2 .
