Abstract
129,532. Macintyre, L. G. Oct. 4, 1918. Hank type.-In a machine for dyeing, bleaching, washing, &c. yarn in hank form, the hanks are loosely supported on rotating rollers, and are passed through a series of tanks, being automatically presented to squeezing-rollers after leaving each tank. The tank-supporting rollers B<1> are traversed along tracks B by endless chains C<1> with upstanding fingers D<2>, and are rotated by the engagement of pinions E<1> with a reversible sprocket chain E<2>. After passing through the first tank, the rollers are presented to gapped rollers H, H<1> by a cam-driven pivoted arm G, and the tanks are squeezed before passing to the next tank. A conveyer L may be provided, so that tanks arriving at the delivery end of the machine may, with their rollers, be carried to the other end for repeated treatment.
