Abstract

Yarns, brushing; hanks, treating. - A machine for brushing hanks of yarn comprises two endless parallel chains 16 which carry bars 34 placed edgewise to the direction of motion, and loaded with hanks 35. The chains 16 are guided to form two vertical paths and one or more pairs of loose rollers 36, 37 are provided which exert elastic pressure on the hanks. The hanks are brushed by one or more pairs of brushes 3, 4, 3<1>, 4<1>, which are rotated in the opposite direction to the motion of the chains. In following the path of the chains 16, the bars 34 change their position with resrect to the vertical and thus change the points of support of the hanks, so that the parts of the thread not brushed 'by the brushes 3, 4 are brushed during passage up the second vertical path.
