1294621 Purifying exhaust gas FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 12 May 1971 14619/71 Heading F1B The subject matter of this specification is identical with Specification 1294631 but the claims are directed to a convertor which includes a catalyst, a by-pass valve and means for introducing fresh air onto the by-pass valve and into the exhaust gas upstream of the catalyst, the bypass being controlled by a device responsive to temperature downstream of the catalyst to bypass the catalyst when the temperature is above a certain value.
