1294163 Rotary compressors or motors UZINO "UNTO" SATU MARE 10 July 1970 33579/70 Heading F1F In a rotary sliding vane compressor or air motor, a rotor is mounted, with a small amount of axial freedom, within a casing, each end face of the rotor having a number of recesses therein, which are supplied with air under pressure via arcuate openings in the casing end plates, so that the rotor may be balanced axially. As described, Figs.1 and 2 (not shown), the recesses are located between radial slots locating the vanes.
