Abstract
The vanes of the radial vane rotary machine slide radially in slots formed in cylindrical members which are seated to swivel in a rotor. The outer edges of the blades engage the inner wall of a casing to form working chambers. The rotor is annular and has radial cylinders in which slide pistons connected to a drive shaft. Inclined ports lead from the cylinders and communicate with the working chambers via passages which have portions in the vanes. Centrifugal forces on the vanes are counteracted by small masses k which are connected to the vanes by spring linkages discs being mounted on the machine drive shaft and bearing on shoes against which the springs act. Spark plugs are provided for the cylinders. The rotor and vanes do not contact the housing along its whole inner circumference.
