Abstract

1294060 Typewriters &c INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 5 Aug 1971 36832/71 Heading B6F In a type-lever printing mechanism wherein the type-levers 1 are pivoted on a common axle 3 and are individually removable by means of a slot in each type lever leading to a bearing hole 1a, the slot 1b is curved and of increasing width towards the outer edge of the lever, and the axle 3 is of generally circular crosssection with a flat surface 3a amd a diametrically opposite concavity, 3b extending along its length. As shown, the axle 3 is annular and is fixed to a disc 2 continuously rotating about a vertical axis below a platen 4, the type-levers 1 being guided in radial slots in the disc.
