Abstract

1293792 Knitting machines COURTAULDS Ltd 13 March 1970 [18 March 1969] 14019/69 Heading D1C A fully fashioned knitting machine having two sets of lace points carried on two pattern rods so that one set of points can be interdigitated with the other. In a straight-bar knitting machine, one lace transfer attachment 20 comprises a bar 21 carrying three thin plates 12, e.g. 15 needle spaces apart, and is bolted to a bracket mounted on a patterning rod of the machine. Points 5 have bent shanks 17, 18 which are secured in grooves 14 and holes 15 in the vertical edges of plate 12. A second lace transfer attachment 22 comprises four plates 12a at the same spacing as plates 12 so mounted that the two bars may be fitted together with all the points 5 in the same plane.
