Abstract
1292385 Froth flotation DOW CHEMICAL CO 13 Feb 1970 [13 Feb 1969] 7077/70 Heading B2H Sulphide ores are concentrated by a froth flotation process using a collector of the formula: wherein R is hydrogen or a C 1-10 hydrocarbyl group, R 1 is a C 1-7 divalent hydrocarbon moiety, R 2 is a C 1-7 hydrocarbyl group, and X is a chelating group. R may be an alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, aralkenyl, cycloalkyl, alkaryl, or cycloalkenyl group; R 1 may be a C 1-5 alkylene group; R 2 may be an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, aralkyl, or aralkenyl group; X may be O, S, SO, or SO 2 . 0À01-0À25 lb. of collector is employed per ton of ore pulp. The sulphide may be that of copper, zinc, molybdenum, cobalt, nickel, lead or arsenic.
