1424845 Froth flotation DOW CHEMICAL CO 6 Dec 1973 [7 Dec 1972] 56649/73 Heading B2H In a froth flotation process the frothing agent is a compound of the formula: where A is an alkylene group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms and R is methyl, ethyl, npropyl, i-propyl, i-butyl or t-butyl. The process is suitable for ores of Pb, Zn, Cu, Mo, Ni, Co or Sb, particularly for complex Mo-Cu ores, and for the removal of coal fines from coal. Xanthates, dithiophosphates, thioncarbamates, phosphocresylic acid, or diphenyl thiourea may be used as a collector.
