Abstract
An improved process for concentrating sulphide ores by flotation in the presence of a flotation collector comprising contacting the sulphide mineral in the form of a pulp with a flotation collector having the formula: **(See formula)** where R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl radical containing 10 carbon atoms, R1 is a divalent hydrocarbon moiety containing 1 to 7 carbon atoms, R2 is a hydrocarbyl radical containing 1 to 7 carbon atoms, and X is a chelating group.
