Abstract

1292343 Casting-machines W CYRIAX 23 Dec 1969 [13 Jan 1969] 62521/69 Heading B3F [Also in Division B5] Cylinder-and-piston units 8, 9 on a stationary die-plate 2 slide a die-plate 7 on bars 1 between the plate 2 and a stationary end-plate 6 so that die-parts 10, 11 are engaged before closure by a cylinder-and-piston 14, 15 with an adjustable nut-and-spindle thrust member 16, 17 which is secured to the piston 15 and which during the closing and injection operation abuts a thrust plate 18 raisable in guides 19 to expose a hole 20 in the end plate 6 to allow passage of the member 16, 17 when the die-parts 10, 11 are separated by the action of the piston-rods 9. The thrust plate 18 is raised and lowered by a cylinder and piston (26). The closing cylinder 14, which moves on its piston 15, is mounted on an intermediate plate 13 secured by members 12 to, and moving as a unit with, the die-plate 7. Abutments 21 cause the operation of a plate 23 bearing ejector pins 24, when the die is opened.
