Abstract

1468854 Injection moulding machine NETSTAL-MASCHINEN AG 12 June 1974 [13 June 1973] 26109/74 Heading B5A An injection moulding machine has a turntable 29 rotatable to move an opened mould (not shown) between a first station and a second station positioned between the fixed yoke 1 and the movable yoke 11 of a mould closing unit, an hydraulic ram 20 operating coaxially of the turntable being positioned to press the turntable against the stationary yoke 1 against the resistance of a spring 25 which when the pressure of ram 20 is released displaces the turntable to produce a clearance X with the yoke 1, and at least two injection units 8a and 8b operating at right angles being provided at the second station. The injection units and a mould closing unit comprising yokes 1<SP>1</SP> and 11<SP>11</SP> may also be provided at the first station, and the machine may be mounted with the mould closing direction horizontal (Fig. 4, not shown). The ram 20 is mounted on a shaft 18 which is fixed to a cross-bar 17 mounted to the yoke 1 by rods 15. The turntable is journalled on shaft 18 and is rotated by an hydraulic motor 26 via a drive belt 27. Openings 30, 31 give access to the moulds in which two-coloured articles or articles with inserts are moulded and then ejected by ejectors at 33, 33<SP>1</SP>.
