Abstract

1291834 Weighing apparatus CONVEYANCER Ltd 2 Jan 1970 24140/72 Divided out of 1291833 Heading G1W In a device for weighing the load on a fork lift truck the load lifting carriage 225 is attached to member 230 in cylinder 231 of hydraulic jack 210 which is raised by admission of fluid until the lower end of cam 224 passes beyond the striker of microswitch 222. Lever 229 is then operated to connect the jack to tank, lowering the carriage until the cam engages the striker to close switch 222. Lever 229 is operated to disconnect the jack from tank and micro-switch 227 is made. Switch 228 is closed manually to change solenoid valve 217 from the position shown so that the fluid in the jack drains to tank through restrictor 221 and check valve 220 which latter maintains filled the conduit 219 connected to pressure gauge 216. The carriage now lowers at a uniform rate of one quarter of an inch per second and the load weight is indicated on the gauge 216.
