Abstract

1365032 Controlling hydraulic jacks JOSEF HAAMANN HEBE-UND TRANSPORT-TECHNIK 13 Feb 1973 [29 Feb 1972 (2)] 6889/73 Heading F1P A lifting device comprises a plurality of hydraulic jacks 1, 2, Fig. 1, and a control unit comprising a plurality of control valves 19, Fig. 2, which are connected through pilot valves 18 to the pistons of the jacks which include valves 5, 4 for raising and lowering the piston. The control unit also includes a shut-off valve 23 for each jack and in series therewith a pressure limiting valve 24 set to a maximum setup pressure, both these valves being in parallel with a feed line 16 and a return line 17. Each control valve has a control lever 41-44, Fig.3, and these may be selectively gauged together by a pivoting frame 45 with a handle 52. To disengage a lever from the frame 45 a handle 49 is moved downwards to withdraw the end of the handle from a groove in the frame. An overload valve 25 is set to the maximum lowering pressure and a valve 26 is set to maximum working pressure. When pressure liquid is supplied to the piston, a ball 5 is lifted off its seat to allow flow through a duct 8. An overload valve 6 is provided. When the control valve 19 is in the "lower" position fluid passes through line 17 into chamber 12 and moves lowering valve 4 to the left lifting it from its seat 10 so that fluid flows from the jack back to the reservoir. The lowering valve 4 may be manually opened by a lever 7 with a cam 7'.
