Abstract

1290788 Detachable handle ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO Ltd 16 March 1970 12545/70 Heading A4A A detachable handle comprises two parts spaced apart to form a hand grip 8 and having their positions transposed near to ends which terminate in cranked portions extending away from one another which may be biased apart by gripping the hand grip, for co-operation with opposed surfaces on a vessel. The two parts comprise pairs of limbs 9 and 10 welded together at 18 and 19, and transposed to form a lower cranked portion 14. The other cranked portion is a plate 12 with upturned lugs 13, at the end of the limbs 9. The lugs 13 may engage an inturned part 4 of a flange 3 of a vessel whilst the cranked portion 14 engages a channel 6 in a bracket on the vessel. A single piece of rod is twisted to form the limbs and the vessel may be a grill pan.
