[Class 66] A detachable loop-handle, e.g. for an electric kettle, which may be in one or in two portions 10, 11, including a metal strip 10 with a sigmoid bend at one end as at 22 and inserted in a slot in a heat-insulating part 11 having a metal cap 23, has one end 19 detachable as a spigot in a socket 14 on the body of the kettle, &c., and the other secured by a screw which may pass transversely through the handle and engage a threaded socket in a distance-piece 27, the handle being screwed up from the chain-line position illustrated to the full-line position, so as to be under spring stress for holding the parts securely together,. The end 19 of the handle may be bent forwardly and grooved to register with ridges within the socket 14.
