Abstract
1290575 Gate assembly; releasable fastenings K P ASHBY 19 April 1971 [19 Feb 1970] 7945/70 Headings E2A and E2M A gate 13 is vertically pivoted in its own plane about a horizontal axis 14 to a first upright 12 and has cooperating securing members at its free end 21 and on a second upright 11 and a remote control means 27, 28 to operate the securing members. The members may comprise a latch 23 pivoted at 24 to the gate and cooperating with a catch 25 on the upright 11. The gate may have a counterweight 17 or a spring arrangement. An operating lever 18 is pivoted at 18b to the upright 12 and slidably pivoted at 19 to the gate. A spring 20 is connected between the gate and lever. The springs may be replaced by rams or solenoids.
