Abstract

1289050 Reclosable container KALLE AG 22 May 1970 [24 May 1969] 24838/70 Heading B8C A reclosable container comprises two hoodlike upper portions 2, 3 attached to a base portion 1 by means of flanges 4, 5 meeting at points 6, 7, and may be opened by hinging the base portion along a line joining points 6, 7. The openings of the upper portions 2, 3 are inclined towards each other at angles of #, α to the base portion respectively, so that when the container is closed, portion 3 enters portion 2. The upper portions may be of thermoplastic films of polyolefins, of polystyrene, or of polyvinyl chloride and the base portion may be of cardboard having an upper heat-sealable layer of polymer material, or of a plastics material similar to that of the upper portions. The flanges of the upper portions may be joined to the base portion by heat-sealing, welding, gluing, or stapling.
