1288772 Liquid level indication THOMAS ELECTRONICS Ltd 2 Feb 1970 [1 Feb 1969] 5579/69 Heading G1H In a liquid level detection device, such as for use in a vehicle cooling system, a pair of probes 16, 18 of different lengths are connected to a pair of switch terminals A, B of a two way switch 20 connected via an operative device 22 to an indicator 24 and the arrangement is such that the switch 20 is actuated by a push-button and is normally biased to a position A connecting the longer probe 18 in circuit so that when the liquid is above the lower end of probe 18 but below the lower end of probe 16 the indicator 24 will not be actuated until the push-button moves the switch to position B to actuate the indicator 24 to indicate that "topping up" is required also if the switch is in position A and the liquid falls below probe 18 the indicator 24 will be activated to indicate that the liquid is dangerously low.
