Abstract

1288251 Hand trucks H P A MOSER 26 Jan 1970 [30 Jan 1969] 5219/69 Heading B7B [Also in Division E1[ The frame members 15 of a ladder 2 are pivotally connected to the longitudinals 8 of a hand truck 1 by pins 3 so that the ladder is movable between an in use position and a stowed position in which a peg 27 on a member 15 is engaged by a spring-loaded catch 25 on the truck frame. A platform 19 pivotally mounted on the ladder may extend between the ladder and truck when in use and is stowed adjacent the ladder frame. The ladder steps 16 may be tiltable into the plane of the ladder when it is in the closed position. In other constructions, the ladder and truck may be connected by parallelogram or scissor linkages, the ladder may have fold-away ground-engaging legs, and the platform may be secured to both ladder and truck and be hinged at its centre.
