Abstract

1294519 Vehicle wheel ramps R D APPLEYARD [trading as BRENT ENG DESIGNS] 27 Oct 1970 50916/70 Heading B8H Each of a pair of ramps for raising the front or rear wheels of a vehicle comprises of a platform 23 pivotally connected by parallel links 29, 30 and a ramp 19 to an extensible base 10. The base 10 comprises, at each side, a rod 12 formed with a series of holes 13 and slidable in a tubular member 11 formed with holes 14, which can be aligned with any one of the holes 13 to admit a locking member, whereby the length of the base may be varied to vary the height of the platform 23. A screw jack may be provided between the platform and the base. When not in use, the ramp may be folded, Fig. 3 (not shown).
