Disk mills.-A grinding-disk for corn and like mills is made from a thin disk a of mild steel which is formed on one face b with grooves, and is then hardened on that face, the remainder of the disk remaining tough. Or, the disk may be formed with grooves and hardened on both faces. The grooves may be formed by pressing, stamping, or milling.
