Abstract

1287406 Diaphragm vibrators JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 28 Oct 1969 [2 Dec 1968] 57043/68 Heading G5J An electromagnetic horn comprises a cupshaped housing having a flat base 12, the wall 11 of the housing extending throughout its length between the base and the open end of the housing, a diaphragm 32 closing the said open end, an electromagnet including a former 14 and a winding 17 carried thereon, and a contact assembly 24, 31 connected in circuit with the winding and supported by the former which is connected to the base 12, an armature 33 being carried by the diaphragm and arranged to open the contacts of the contact assembly when energized. Adjusting screw 26 sets the position of the fixed contact of the assembly whereby the frequency of operation may be varied.
