Abstract

1286808 Pressure indicator BTR INDUSTRIES Ltd 14 Oct 1969 [14 Oct 1968] 48632/68 Heading G1L In a pressure gauge a low pressure is fed through an orifice 28 to operate on the end face 29 of a magnetic member 25 which acts on one side of a spring loaded annulus 5 and a higher pressure is fed through bores 30, 31 to act on the other side of the annulus 5 and the arrangement is such that when the higher pressure acting on the annulus 5 exceeds the combined pressure force on face 29, the spring 8 and magnetic attraction between a pole piece 7 and a circuit through magnet 4, the member 25 and pole pieces 18, 20, move the assembly to the left and a spring 9 moves the pole 7 and a member 3 to the right indicating pressure once a cylindrical bi-metallic strip reaches a predetermined temperature to release a frictional grip on a collar 26 on member 3.
