Abstract

1286243 Drawing boards R B W LOWNDES 24 Dec 1969 [1 Oct 1968] 35056/68 Heading B6P A drawing board comprises a board 10 having a clamping bar 13, 14 at the top thereof and a spring-urged clamping member 19 at the bottom. The clamping member 19 forms part of a tray 18 for drawing instruments or the like. As shown, the tray 18 is hinged to the board at 21 and biased by a spring 23 acting on a bolt 22. In an alternative embodiment, the tray is urged towards the board by a leaf spring (25, Fig. 4) attached to the board and to the tray. An adjustable toggle device to hold the tray in clamping position may be provided at each end of the board.
