Abstract
1286040 Arm-rests HIMOLLA POLSTERMÍBELWERK CARL HIERL GmbH 11 Dec 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 58981/70 Heading A4J An intermediate arm-rest 20 for a settee or other furniture can be moved into a recess in the seat 4 or seat back 2 and when moved out can be moved forwards to clear any loose back cushions 5. In the form described, the arm-rest 20 is fixed to a tube 13 slidable on a tube 12 which is pivoted at 10 to a bracket 8 fixed on the bottom wall of a shell 7 lining a recess in the seat back. The arm-rest is prevented from twisting on the tube 12 by a guide fixed parallel to the latter, and is urged towards the upper end of the tube 12 by a spring so that when it is moved out of the recess it automatically moves forward to lie in front of any loose back cushion 5.
