Abstract
1285147 Sanitizing composition FMC CORP 19 March 1970 [25 March 1969] 13313/70 Heading A5E A composition for cleansing, sanitizing and deodorizing fabrics soiled with organic and bacterial matter comprises 1-15%by weight of an N-chloro compound which hydrolyses to yield positive chlorine ions in an amount to provide in aqueous solution 50-250 p.p.m. of available chlorine, sulphamic acid in an amount to provide an NH to Cl<SP>+</SP> ratio in solution of 0.5 to 5:1, 20-50% by weight of a polyphosphate, 20-40% by weight of sodium tetraborate having an Na 2 O to B 2 O 3 ratio of about 1 to 2.5 and having up to 5 moles of water of hydration, 0-40% by weight of an inorganic buffer salt which has an acid reaction in aqueous solution, and 2.5-10% by weight of an anionic or a nonionic surfactant.
