1284371 Hand tool for gripping bobbins PALITEX PROJECT CO GmbH 5 Jan 1971 [29 April 1970] 405/71 Headings DID and D1F [Also in Division B8] A hand tool for gripping at least the upper one of two connected bobbins 1, 2 has a head portion 8 provided with a yarn guiding passage 9 and an end 10 which is capable of being detachably locked with the upper bobbin. As shown the tool also extends down to the lower bobbin and engages with internal ribs 5 thereof to radially stiffen the lower bobbin 2 and thereby prevent disengagement of the bobbin. In the alternative embodiment the tool engages only with the upper bobbin.
