1283829 Steel containing lead NIPPON KOKAN K K 6 Oct 1970 [27 Dec 1969] 47415/70 Heading C7D Free-cutting lead steels are produced by adding lead or an alloy in which lead is the main component to the steel stream being poured into an ingot mould, the lead or alloy being added in the form of a rod of diameter 2-20 m.m. The method may be used in production of ingots by top or bottom pouring or by continuous casting.
