Abstract
1282335 High frequency switches ROHDE & SCHWARZ 25 March 1970 [17 April 1969] 14455/70 Heading H1N A high frequency switch has a movable contact S1 formed from sheet metal and having two spaced strip portions 8 connected by a web, one end of each strip 8 being pivoted to a strip line 4 while the other ends are movable into engagement with a second strip line 10, the lines and contact being mounted between parallel conducting plates 1, 2. Several switches are employed in a switched attenuator and operated by individual motors 20. The strip lines follow a path between two coaxial sockets K1, K2 whose outer conductors are connected to the plates 1, 2. Pairs of contacts S1, S2 are operated together to introduce a TT-network of resistors W into the line. The drive motor is provided with a damping device to prevent contact bounce. An arm 28 rigid with the contact S1 strikes one of pins 25, 26 transferring all inertia to free ring 21 which is then decelerated by a friction wire loop 27.
