Abstract

1,247,187. Electric switches; contacts. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 3 Feb., 1969 [18 March, 1968], No. 12891/68. Heading H1N. In an electric switch having three pairs of fixed contacts 13, 14, 15 arranged on a board 12, movable contacts 17 on a slider 16 are arranged to bridge two of the pairs 13, 14 in one position (as shown) and to bridge only one pair 15 in the second position in which the contacts 17 are held tilted away from but overlying the central pair of contacts 14 by a projecting wall 22 on the board 12. The contacts 17 comprise a parallel pair of sliders resiliently mounted by a pair of coil springs 18 and interconnected electrically through a roller 21 which forms the connecting link between the carrier 16 and a pivoted actuator 19.
